I take Abilify and recently started taking lamictal with it. They started me at the lowest dose then doubled it. I have to say I feel better overall with the combination for my bipolar. I hope you get good results too.

If anyone is having jaw clenching or bruxism (whether as a side effect from a med, or from genetics), try Gabapentin. It has been effective in stopping bruxism

I'm on 100 mg of Lamictal and it has saved my life. I'm also on rexulti 4 mg. So try both abilify and lamictal together?

They only go up to 200 mgs for psychiatric issues. I take 600 mgs of it for Epilepsy.

Lamictal is a really good drug for us with any type of bipolar. My current dose of 100 mg a day isn't really working out for me right but my doctor and I are working it out

I was diagnosed with bipolar by my therapist, but I don't necessarily agree with the diagnosis. One because all my life I have been strong, steady, and consistent. Second because my psychologist said that I do not fit all the criteria for the diagnosis of bipolar. Personally I think it's hormonal at my stage in life (almost 53), and a lot of the symptoms coinside with my cycle. The lamictal really helps with all this. In addition I take fluoxetine 2 weeks out of month for moodiness.

I’ve been slowly titrating up on Lamictal for the last 3 months, currently at 100mg. I will say the side effect profile for lamictal is a breeze compared to SSRI/SNRIs. Worst I had was some muscle tension in the neck, which went away after a month or so. I also noticed the vivid dreams, but those too felt more normal about a month in. Kinda cool too for someone who usually didn’t remember their dreams. I’m still having some issues, and will probably end up going higher, but I’ve noticed a slow and steady improvement.

I am currently taking Lamictal. I took it for about two months awhile ago and went off of it because it was causing extreme jaw clenching. I am on it again because I feel I have done the best on it as opposed to any other medication I’ve tried in the last few years. I am not diagnosed with bipolar disorder yet but my dr believes I have some kind of mood disorder and it’s heightened by my panic disorder. Lamictal has definitely helped stabilize my depressive episodes and I still have them but not as extremely. I feel that I don’t have very many side effects besides a stiff neck and jaw clenching

I think I felt Lamictal at about 2 Months. I use it in combination with Zoloft

i love lamictal! start super small dosage wise though so the side effects don't smack you in the face if you get any. the side effects from lamictal usually only last about a month. constipation, mild headaches, etc
