It works really well for me as a supplement to my paxil

I recently tried it as an add on medication for my depression. I also have chronic fatigue and insomnia from other conditions. I found the Lamictal made me extremely tired i.e. sleeping 8-10 hrs a night plus 2-3 hr nap! And it was not improving my depression or mood so discontinued it.

I have been on lamictal for almost 20 years now. I have not had any issues with it except for the insomnia. I take 200 mgs three times a day.

I've taken lamictal for approx 4 years now. It's great at controlling my mood swings

I'm taking 200mg lamotrigine for epilepsy, it has helped a lot and I prefer it over my previous medication

I take Lamotrigine for seizures. I also have anxiety and mood disorders as well, but it doesn’t really seem to help with that. Seems like it helps with seizures only. I take 125 mg.

I'm taking it now, I am currently taking 150 mg. I've noticed that it doesn't really help with my depressive episodes as much, and my anxiety would be worse, but they also prescribed me an additional as needed anxiety medication. I will say, definitely less mood swings, but more depression for me

i’ve taken lamictal regular and extended release. by it’s self the extended release did not work. my neurologist later paired it with keppra and as long as i don’t miss a dose i don’t have any seizures. last fall i got her to switch me from extended release lamictal to regular (the extended release was causing me $300 every 3 months for refills) and it’s also been working fine!

I think Lexapro works well with lamictal

I also take lamictal and have experience the same as the others would happen to increase the dose of time goes along but it has been found for me is to help me ease into the emotion instead of going full force if you can understand that my brain thinks weird LOL

I have, and this is just my experience with it, but it would help for a few weeks and then I’d have to up my dose again until eventually they just switched my meds. It just seemed like my body gained resistance to the medication too quick.
