what do you do when your favorite person has feelings for someone else? my wife/ex has bpd too and now she’s infatuated with someone new and i’m still infatuated with her. we’re best friends and roommates still so that makes it extra hard. i don’t know how to deal with the jealousy and the fear of abandonment and i don’t want it to ruin our friendship. and i have terrible social anxiety and no friends so finding a new favorite person isn’t an option lmao.

When I get new FAvorite people I still genuinely love and care about the previous favorite people just as much. I just want to learn more about the new favorite people. In a way I guess you could say I collect them. So the new one gets attention but the old ones can too and I love them the same way I always did.
I’ve learned over time how to set boundaries during breakups and friendship issues and I don’t think I would ever hurt my partner in this way but say I became FP with a platonic friend or a celebrity
