Symptoms of BPD: What Made You Realize You Had It?

I'm currently in the process of being diagnosed with BPD and was wondering what some of your symptoms were that made you realize that you had it. The only thing I'm aware of is I have a big problem with choosing a favorite person and my relationships are super hot and cold.

      @UnhappilySappy The only real thing I can say to maybe help is try not to get trapped in the mindset of idealizing them, remind yourself that they're still a person with their own wants and needs and if they hurt you then they're in the wrong not you and you shouldn't let things slide just because they're your fp, it's better said then done but it is possible

      From what I heard you don't necessarily choose a favorite person it just happens and I guess what made me realize I had bpd was because I struggled with regulating my emotions, every little thing seems like the end of the world for me

        @Starry_leek Yeah, I didn't like go out of my way to choose them, I just realized that's what that person was to me, I essentially put all of my self worth into what they think of me and how they act. Like if they don't text me as much one day then I'm losing my mind thinking they've finally given up on me or they hate me.
