I've been trying to heal lately from past traumas and even just thought patterns that have caused me strife in the past. I have the tendency to be hard on myself and sometimes it's hard to get myself to stop. Even if I try and logic myself out of it. I just thought I'd share what's on my mind and see if anyone had any thoughts about what I said.

I understand that. unfortunately not a lot of people are supportive of my situation other than my dad but I think it's important that you are around people who are supportive.

Something that helped me so much with eroding those patterns and dealing with those traumas has been psychedelics. I highly recommend doing THOROUGH research beforehand and getting a trip sitter if you want to do it at home so you are safe. Also do not do it if you have a personal or family history of psychosis, it can be a trigger for a psychotic break. A safer/legal option would be to do it in a therapeutic setting. Clinical psilocybin and MDMA (I do NOT recommend using MDMA outside of a clinical setting, you can OD) are insanely good treatments for PTSD. In a couple sessions patients can have the improvement previously only seen through years of therapy.

I also really struggle with being too hard on myself! Haven’t found a great way to cope with it by myself but it helps that my boyfriend is very encouraging and affirming.

@ktaing1883 yeah, my partner is also encouraging and affirming, which has helped me too
