It took me about 6 months of therapy with someone that I resonated with. I finally talked about specific trauma incidents and it was like a weight was taken from my shoulders. I shared with my wife, and I felt loved and supported. I know it's difficult. I know it's something that you don't want to deal with, but the only way to heal is to share.
Need not to worry about your future, for you can be at ease knowing that you are reaching out looking for healthy coping mechanisms
You must practice being kinder not only to your current self l, but also your past younger self.
