I have severe intrusive thoughts about the future. I worry heavily about the unknown and what may happen with me, my health, and my relations with other people. I’m trying to learn ways to cope and accept that these things are out of my control. One of these tactics is focusing on things that are in my control to reduce my stress level. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Wow, I thought i wrote this… I am in the same boat! Im 25 and hear this is common in your 20s but also just times in life in general. My therapist told me the same thing. Worry about what you can control and dont think too much about what you cant and thats the best ive heard

For me it helps to remind myself I can’t control everything. If i’m worried something will happen that I can prevent, I will try, but i also have to understand that some things aren’t in my control. And after time you learn to accept that. I hope you figure out a way that works for you :) please message me if you ever need to talk
