Hello everyone well I went to my volunteer job today and only made it for a half hour. I got there and there were people I had never seen before and I couldn't do my job because everytime I turned around there was someone in my way this caused my anxiety to go through the roof. So I told my boss that I have to leave and told her I will see her Tuesday morning. I feel so ashamed of myself but I know that if I did not get out of there I would probably do something I would regret. What do you guys think did I do the right thing or should I have stayed and stuck it out. Any advice would help me. TIA for all comments

I think you did what you needed to do. It might be a good idea to talk it over with your boss to see how you can deal with recent changes.

I think you absolutely did the right thing. I’m glad you took care of yourself first because your well-being is much more important than your job. 💕

It's never a bad idea to remove yourself from a situation that could trigger you. I think you did the right thing.
