I can't get myself to go back into work. I am just super stressed, it isn't a huge problem if I get fired, which is the mentality I have been holding of it's okay to keep skipping since I don't care about the consequences. But now I'm super stressed over it, I still need a job but this one just doesn't seem to be working out. I feel bad cuz I've only been working there for like 2 weeks but it already has so many problems. (manager not communicating with me, weird hours, etc.) It's just overall a job I don't like and I'm sick of pretending to be happy while I'm there. I haven't gone in since last week, but technically I've only missed 3 days so far. What's worse I think my manager left a voicemail of being concerned about me cuz he said even though he doesn't know me too well I don't seem like the person to miss on work. Which is true, I'm a good worker and I'm always super early. I can't bring myself to tell him that it's because of my depression and I just don't know what to do anymore. And I kinda just shut down, I've done this before, I will probably end up not telling them anything, no updates, no attempts at excuses, just dropping off the earth at that point to them. I don't want to do this but I don't think I'm just going to suddenly get up and go to work again anytime soon.

@HaltheWitch that is great. I hope you find one that is good for you. That's what really matters in the end anyhow. I know there's a lot of guilt when it comes to going job to job but hey sometimes we need to know what we want to avoid and it can help us see if other places may not be good either.

If it's not a fit for you. It simply isn't. There's nothing wrong with that. If you've only been there two weeks that's not a bad thing. You got a feel for it and you decided it wasn't a good fit. Sometimes it takes a long time to find work that you are comfortable with especially when it's comes to the environment of the job. We have to work so much in our lifetime, if you aren't happy where you. Try finding a place where you will be. Even if you aren't necessarily happy with it, as long as it doesn't stress you out and you are comfortable. That's what matters. Your health comes first. You always come first. That company won't go anywhere if you don't want to work there. They will figure it out and work through it. If you did want to reach back, you could say you are having some issues outside of work and you feel it would be best if you didn't work for them. If you don't want to reach out. You don't have to. I've had times where I spent way too long at certain jobs that were tearing me down mentally. It's never worth it.

@amc Thank you, this helps me a lot, and in fact I have my resume posted to some websites and I already got a voicemail for some other job opportunities.

Hmmm been there before. Just couldn't work because someone I was with was cheating I was just in denial or clueless cause they would never do that. Anyway, I worked through it part time. If that's not an option I would try somewhere else.
