anyone else have a week or two where one side of your jaw hurts and your teeth don't meet up right, then it goes away for a few months and comes back? it's so weird... maybe EDS related?

@ShoobyDoobyDoo91 Yeah, at the two week mark pain is mostly gone, teeth mostly match up...

Sounds like TMJ I have it and it sucks. Comes and goes or sometimes stays for quite awhile. I'm in pt for it now I don't see that it has helped though.

This sounds like TMJ to me. There's not much you can do for TMJ.

@MystikMandy yeah, that's what I figured. From a bit of googling, sounds like you suffer through if it's mild and get surgery if it's major.

I get tmj issues off and on like that I tried mouth guards but once my teeth shifted after I got the mouth guard it no longer fits so I just deal with it

people with EDS are more likely to also have both intermittent and chronic TMJ problems. talk to your dentist about it, they can offer solutions or refer you for surgery if it comes to that
