Has anyone experienced their endo flaring up even if their ultrasound came back clean? I’ve had surgery many years ago, but about a year ago I was experiencing (potential) endo symptoms again, had an endo ultrasound; but now I’m feeling real crampy and like it’s back. Thoughts?

Ultrasound cannot always rule it out! Unfortunately you will likely need a new laparoscopy. If that wasn’t already suggested to you, I would suggest going to another GYN for a second opinion. Anyone who dismisses you because your ultrasound isn’t showing endo, has a VERY limited knowledge of this disease

I had a transvaginal ultrasound that is (apparently) done with specific waves that can pick up when there are significant amounts of endo. I was first diagnosed when I had a laparoscopy back in 2016.

Yes, I’ve had that. What kind of ultrasound did you have if you don’t mind sharing?
