Yes I have had all tests come back clear and had endo , removed during the surgery . However now I have an ultrasound showing things stuck together and an mri of small bowel showing adhesions , they want to ignore that x

endo is hard to see on ultrasounds i have had 2 and a mri all comes back clear but that doesn't mean it's not there key hole surgery is the most effective way to diagnose

The only way yo diagnose endometriosis is with surgery. It does not show up on scans ever! I went through years and years of extreme pain and many doctors telling me everything was “fine.” Until one day a doctor found a very large cyst on one of my ovaries. (A cyst does not necessarily mean endometriosis). Due to the size and amount of pain I was in, my dr decided to do surgery to drain and remove the cyst. Initially, the plan was laparoscopy, however the cyst and ovary were both knotted up with endometrial tissue (thats endometriosis). So, the dr opened me up and removed it all including the ovary. However, even with all the endometrial tissue I had, nothing was ever found on the ultrasounds other than a cyst.

Before my surgery, all my doctors would say “your labs are fine/normal” and “your scans are clean”. To which I would reply then why I am in pain! It took from the time I was 12 until I was 25 for someone ( a female GYN with Endo herself) to believe me. You are not crazy, you just have to advocate for your self.

My scans were clean other than PCOS. I was early stage 3 in my last surgery.

Endometriosis doesn't show on scans! You're not crazy. It took me almost 20 years to find an endo specialist who validated my concerns and started a treatment plan.

wow I'm so sorry, 20 years is a long time trying to get help. I haven't actually been diagnosed yet but it's what I suspect given all my symptoms. But I've had 3 doctors tell me it's IBS. Even though I was Diagnosed with SIBO and treated twice with the antibiotics and still have stomach issues and bloating. Among so many other things.

Yes. I even had CT scans that came back clear but once they went in for surgery they found a golf ball sized cyst nobody knew was there.

Yes, but that's what usually happens. Endometriosis doesn't typically show up on imaging, that's why it's only actually, concretely diagnosable via surgery

Endometriosis often doesn't show on ultrasounds, so that doesn't mean much
