I really like my therapist, but I’m wondering if I should be getting more out of therapy? We don’t follow any specific guidelines or treatment plan like DBT or anything. She just lets me talk about what I want to for that day and responds compassionately. I guess I’m wondering if I should be getting “homework” after (like work sheets) or something to focus on. Should therapy be more structured or is this similar to everyone’s experience? (also this is my 4th therapist, and she is a specialist in DID)

Have you told her about this?

@pitouparty You need to. Communication between therapist and patient is important. She can't adjust her treatment to help you more if she doesn't know what's going on
