Maybe a gastroenterologist? They deal with GI stuff. It might be a wait depending where you’re from but a specialist might help. Same area anatomy wise but possibly different organs involved. I have chronic pain from endometriosis and it took eight months to get an official diagnosis. No pain medicine has ever helped me. But aside from what I said. Find a specialist to help you if you haven’t already. I know it’s hard but you just need to push through. And let the doctors know the meds your getting are no help.

I would like to add that putting your foot down and saying no is ok. I am constantly told birth control was my only option but it put me in a dangerous mental state. I hope this helps

I started seeing a gastroenterologist in August, I believe. They gave me miralax then a month later, put me on lubiprostone bc my insurance wouldn't pay for anything else. Then they called last week and said my insurance won't pay for my meds anymore unless I try something else (like taking fiber supplements or whatever) so I'm trying that. I also have an appt with a gynecologist in December, bc I have been told I could have endo. I just dont know what to do there, bc if I have it, I've been told they're just going to put me on birth control. I've recently stopped taking birth control since it messes with my mental state. But I've been told that thats the only thing that can help the pain.

I’m sorry to hear, it’s rough. Trust me I know. If it is Endo then I’d look into is excision surgery, I know it’s scary and expensive but from multiple people who suffer from Endo say it’s one of the most effective ways of managing pain. If you ever do consider surgery never settle for ablation. I also hate birth control because it made my life a living nightmare and I’m banking that this experimental medicine I take will help me a little. Also when going to the gynecologist don’t let them convince you birth control is the only way to go. If they’re not going to work with you then do not continue seeing them.
