Need Travel Hacks for Class Trip

i second noise cancelling headphones. good ones can be expensive but you might find some used ones on Craigslist or something like that. and download comfort movies/shows/audiobooks beforehand.

I got a prescription for clonazepam/klonopin from my psychiatrist for plane rides. They offered me that or Xanax, but clonazepam lasts longer so I went with that. I also bring a tablet or laptop to watch movies or shows on. With the tablet it's better because you can download things from apps like Netflix or Hulu so you don't need wifi or internet to play them. I'll pick out what I think I might like the night before, download as many as I can fit on the tablet, and then leave it overnight to download them so it's ready by the next day. My service dog helps too, but a good alternative could be a weighted blanket or lap pad for pressure on your legs.

I am terrified of planes. I ask my pcp to prescribe a heavy tranquilizer for when I get on the plane. I also keep my comfort stuffed animal in my carry-on so when I feel a panic attack coming on I can comfort myself.

Earbuds/headphones, video games or similar entertainment, other forms of entertainment like books or something, fidget/stim toys, a battery pack or two for your entertainment. I also watch a lot of travel videos and stuff so I get an idea of what to expect
