hi there! i actually just got on a plane yesterday for the first time in years! i found i felt most anxious waiting to board the plane and on take-off. personally, i took some dramamine, they sell it at the airport stores! it is for motion sickness but it can also cause slight drowsiness which i noticed help calm me. I also brought my own headphones and paid for wifi on the flight so i could watch my favorite cartoons through the duration of the flight! I also recommend making conversation with the flight attendants! they are usually super nice and fun and they provided me with some comfort as they are use to flying all the time! i also recommend bringing a fidget toy or something to keep your hands busy and focused on when the thoughts start flooding in! i also brought my comfort sweatshirt and some coloring books to stay busy as well! also, we all know flying a plane is complicated and people go to school for a long time to learn all about it, try to remind yourself that you are in great hands and that millions of flights take off and land safety in a week! i also did some research about how the air pressure works for airplanes and it did help me feel more safe! i’m not sure if that is the best advice because i know research can cause more anxiety for some, but i hope at least something i said will offer some comfort or help! feel free to message me if you need someone to talk to!! you’re going to do amazing! best of luck!!

Thank you! I haven't flown since I was in elementary school and I'm a little nervous to do it again for the first time in probably 10 years so I think this will help I'll let u know how it goes though I get over stimulated easy and headphones help me a lot so I'm sure they will here too Fun fact about airports, they play the exact noise that the planes make with a little delay which actually cancels out the noise through a a process called "phasing"
