Hi. So I have a messed up nervous system and hence some intense stomach issues. I’m having a lot of trouble eating because it either hurts really bad, I get nauseous, or I get full after a couple bites. Sometimes after I have a couple bites I hiccup as if I just ate a full on feast, and I would like to know if this happens to anyone else or if you know why I’m like this?? It’s rather embarrassing actually.

Hiatal hernias are not that uncommon… they can be very dangerous depending on the gravity of it and the location in the esophagus or the throat . Mine is minute Doctors per se don’t like to operate on them as there are VERY CRUCIAL nerves in our throat that if damaged or disturbed through surgery will render you unable to swallow or speak …. Do be VERY CAREFUL re this surgery if that is ever discussed or if this is what they find. … I really hope is not a hiatal hernia or if it is is a tiny one like mine .

Thank you so much! I do have gastroparesis too. Is this common with gp? I’ve had it for awhile but my treatment is more focused on my nerve disorder so doctors don’t really clue me in to everything going on lol
You might have what I suddenly got after years of having these symptoms , I have Gastroparesis , paralysis of the nerves that help you break down the food and pass it down through your colon . You have to have a very specialized test ordered through your gastroenterologist and only he can distinguish it from anything else. IF it is that , there are several ways to treat it ….. there is no cure , it is not fatal unless you get severely compromised of certain vital vitamins due to lack of proper eating . It’s very important to get a complete panel of blood work done and make sure they check the levels of IRON, B-12 and glucose and thyroid levels to eliminate other things like hypothyroidism, anemia or pre-diabetes…. Also and hopefully not you it could be a symptom of a hiatal hernia … that is potentially dangerous and should be monitored if you have one ( hopefully you don’t) and AGAIN discuss these issues with your Gastric doctor …. Until then try to sleep slightly elevated ( head ) as you could get severe gastric burn should you have acid reflux.
