I agree. I usually write list and try to stay organized/motivated. setting multiple alarms is an easy way to guarantee that I’ll get up. I also do not allow myself to get back into bed because if I do I know I won’t get out.

This thread is so encouraging, knowing I’m not alone.

I’ve struggled with this for years. I’m sort of getting better at it thankfully.

absolutely. my mother is always nagging me about my hygiene but it's near impossible for me to do simple things such as showering or washing my clothes. it's just so hard when you feel so numb all the time. at least, that's how I feel thanks to my medication.
i do, and also have chronic pains. i recently got a shower chair and it has helped a lot with motivating myself to shower knowing that i can sit while i clean myself

waking up is super hard because I don't want to be awake or get out of bed but having something to look forward to that's in another room or out of your bed helps
I do too, but I try not to be hard on myself and just try to do better the next day. But as we all know, self care is very important. Keep at it. It will get easier when it becomes a habit.
April, I feel ya. My relationship is so hard because of my bpd. I’m sure you’ll be able to find someone who understands you, as well as finding yourself within deep understanding. It is really hard to get out of bed, especially when things happen that is out of our control

I just lost an amazing person in a breakup, because of my bpd, and it hurts to the point where I'm physically nauseous and don't wanna leave my bed. 😥
It definitely does feel like that. I try and think about things I enjoy doing. I could paint, make some food, even just lying in bed and watching youtube. The small things you do count. And when it comes to showering, it honestly was the hardest thing to do for a while. For me watching self care videos helped, some YouTubers I recommend are Kenna Marie Jenn Im Inspiroue McKenna walker Honestly the list can go on. I hope this helped though!
It just feels like this giant brick won’t let me get up to do it
I do. But we can do it , one step at a time
