Struggling to Get Out of Bed with Mental Illness

Is it hard for anyone else just to get out of bed all day?? My mental illness feels paralyzing. My body feels heavy and weak and I want to just get back in bed when I get up :( any suggestions ??

I haven't been to classes in weeks and keep missing my morning work shifts. I don't know why getting up is so hard sometimes, it sucks, especially when those around you don't understand that just the act of getting out of bed is a big thing and that it's not always possible to do everything in your planner

Yes! I have MS and some days I feel like can’t move. Like I have 50 bricks over my body. But I have 2 toddlers so I have to get up no matter what 😥

I just want to be myself again and work out all the time but I feel my mental health disables me to do anything

But I have also been bedridden from pain and sometimes you just make bed the command center and bring nice things there with you. Like a sketchbook and some crayons or a few snacks and a book. Your headphones for music.

I’ve found that making safe cozy spaces that aren’t my bed has helped. Like making it to the couch, or when I get up to pee, crawling somewhere else.
