What do you think about alternative methods to treating chronic pain? Such as marijuana, meditation, and western healing methods.

I'm currently taking CBD oil for my headaches (and other chronic illness, but mostly the headaches) I'm only taking 2.3mg in the morning and at night as of right now. It was prescribed, and weed isn't legal in my state yet. I'm hoping to be able to ween off of some other medications.

I think anything that works and that will help you you should definitely try I don't think people should live in pain it

Occasional marijuana usage helps with my migraines! It aids me with other chronic illnesses as well. I hope to see a day where marijuana isn’t as misunderstood. Caffeine in things like coffee and teas tend to help alleviate that head pain too. Pharmaceuticals ive been on have had too many negative side effects for me to stick with them. I had withdrawals/“brain shocks” from stopping one medication everytime id run out. I used to take lithium, but you have to get your bloodwork checked every month to make sure that medication isn’t shutting your kidneys down. Ive had an anxiety medication that made me gain 80 Ibs in just months when I’ve never deviated from the weight range i tend to stay in. Just a few reasons i prefer the relief of marijuana over pharmaceutical drug combinations. I also am a big connoisseur of psychedelics. I use them to get through emotional trauma and to learn something about the world or myself.

I think the only downside to Eastern practices is that they often aren't covered by insurance. Other than that they are much more harmless than Western practices (no terrible side effects)

I totally agree, I was very into the traditional method of taking pharmaceutical medicines but my experience totally changed my view. Western pharma fails to cure a lot of issues and it’s scary people don’t realize it

So long as it works, it works!! A lot of people who are against it dont realoze the struggles those w chronic illnesses experience daily and nightly, and having something to relieve it is a life saver. With anything, its helpful if not abused, so if done with care I believe that they are viae methods
