So I've been going about the motions for weeks now which means forcing myself to work and my job feels soul draining now. I'm supposed to work this weekend (Fri-Sun) and I can't because my mental health will be in more shambles. I told my boss I can't come in this weekend and to summarize he said "I understand and I'm on your side, but if you don't there will be consequences". We can't afford to fire people, otherwise we'd have fired our big problem people. I now have more anxiety and am going to start looking for a new job. I'm not going to kms, but God do I wish I was dead.

this couldn’t sound closer to my situation.. i work this weekend friday- sunday but i feel like i’m at an all time low and have no idea how i’m going to make it through my shifts. i’ve called in “sick” (for mental health) too many times. i’m looking for a new job as soon as i can so hopefully that could work out for you too! best of luck to make it through
I would suggest maybe looking into a remote job!

I have chronic pain and in my journey of figuring it out and regular pain meds don't help and I'm in a lot of pain at the end of almost every shift. So after I get off I need to rest in bed almost all night, sometimes into the morning depending on the shift. So my days off are usually spent recuperating/preparing for the next day I work. Or if I want to hang out with friends, lately I've been working 4 days a week and it's really taken a toll on my mental and physical health
