Anyone else having issues with working? Between my mental and physical health, I can’t make a job work, and I’m getting to the point where I don’t want to. I don’t know if it’s deep down depression, or if it’s that my body is so exhausted from the constant pain that I just can’t imagine taking on more.

After I lost a loved one, I was severely depressed for 4 months and I had to quit my job. It was hard because I lovedddd working with my team, but I knew that putting my health at risk was going to do more damage than good in the long run. I don’t know your financial/family situation or current job, but if you need a break, you need a break. your mental health comes before anything else. If you can’t afford to quit, then maybe talk to your supervisor about your situation(s) and see if they can change your hours or make the proper accommodations. much love to you ❤️

I have mental disabilities and got on disability after an 4 year battle with ssa. I played the job game but didn’t do so well. It has helped tons and even validated my disabilities

Have you ever tried getting disability I’ve not been able to work for over seven years now and my pain level is out of control I only wish I could work again I know I have to be depressed as I even have a hard time getting out of bed anymore as a matter of fact I am now in bed close to twenty two hours a day if not more as my pain is to much to where I sleep all day and am up all night with my peripheral neuropathy then when I do try getting up my back kills me and my feet both hurt making it very hard to get around not only that but with my COPD I get out of breath trying to do anything anymore I’m only waiting on the day I die so I will not be in this life of pain anymore

Yeah, it’s really hard between health issues, anxiety, and then the depression that I get from not feeling like I’m doing well enough it work because of my health issues and then because of how my anxiety makes my perception exaggerated. I had to take medical leave when I was getting diagnosed with Lupus because it had been years without a diagnosis and I was missing so much work at that point. I had to switch careers. I have FMLA now, which really helps cause I know my job won’t be at risk if I miss work but that doesn’t make getting behind less stressful, it doesn’t alleviate the guilt, and it doesn’t make unpaid days affordable. But I couldn’t work without it- for sure
