Today I had a small victory: I ate a whole bowl of soup. Which sounds so stupid, but really I'm excited about this. I was attempting to gain weight for months, lost all my progress within a week or so after getting sick and my ibs just flaring up constantly in May/June, but this just gives me a little hope that I have a stepping stone to work on that weight gain. My emotions feel very volatile while trying to deal with my digestive issues. These little kinds of things make me so happy I think because I feel so down and hopeless a lot of the time. Just needed to share with some other people who get it. lmk if you have any advice for the emotional side of all this.

That's awesome! The emotional part is so hard. Idk if it helps you like it helps me, but remembering there are people who understand what it is like because they have felt it helps me

I think it's good to celebrate any victory, regardless of size, because they don't always come that often. The emotional part can be hard, but I think having people to talk to really helps. It especially helps if they can relate in any way to what you're experiencing.

So happy for you! 👏🏾 As far as help with emotional stuff, I know there are therapists who specialize in working with people who have IBS. I've never seen one but I imagine it'd help if that's something you have access to.
