I totally get it. I not only struggle with IBS, but I also have PCOS, and diabetes. I started getting sick in 2014 but I wasn't diagnosed with anything until 2017. By then I went from 119 to over 200 pounds. I weighed 280 for my birthday this year in May. I am happy to say that I have lost 20 pounds over the summer. The thing that changed for me was that I started doing Zumba and drinking about a gallon of water a day. The best thing to do is seek out a nutritionist. They can help you figure out some trigger foods, a better idea of what you can eat, etc. You could also try a food journal. Write down every food you eat, how it affects you, etc. It really gave me perspective. Hope this helps.

What do you do to keep it in under control? I’ve had it for 20 years. I can’t tell you how many times I have pooped in my pants. 😬😬. I take Imodium for it and it does help. I went six weeks with no diarrhea and no accidents in my pants. But sadly I broke my foot 6 weeks ago and have been 90% bedridden and I was doing so much better with the IBS and then WHAM got out of bed and got on my knee scooter to go potty 🚽 and Oops there it is Poopin’ in my pants again. 20+ years of Fibromyalgia, IBS, Insomnia, chronic pain , headaches, ear issues , anxiety and depression. It’s a crappy way to live. 😭

I know how you feel. Sometimes I am fine and have a normal BM but over the summer I have been back and forth to the bathroom, I notice when I eat certain food I get worse. Sometimes it really scares me because my BM’s look scary. I have IBS-D. Also, I am very frightened to go out sometimes, fearing that I will have to use the bathroom. Most of the time it is after I eat that I have to rush to the bathroom. I would tell you more but I really do not want to gross you or anyone else out. I try to stay away from tomatoes, nuts and some lettuce. Idk but sometime I eat them and I am fine. It is a rollercoaster. I hope this helps? Please get well soon.
