I've been practicing a fairly new therapy called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). It goes in tandem with therapy/counseling. Check it out, it's very intriguing!
Sounds silly but something I do to get me back in the moment if I can feel I’m starting to dissociate is to name all of the colors in the room out loud. Long term therapy and like the above comment says, EMDR.
