      Electricity has a hiss, vibrations (to me) is a feel, high vibration i can feel in my sinus area, and low vibrations i feel through where my crown chakra is

      i tend to see if it goes away when i get further away from what i presume is the source. if getting closer/further changes the volume, i can tell it's actually the sound of electronics, and not just ringing in my ears.

      I've never resonated with a post more! Pun not intended. I can't tell if my body is just extra sensitive to the vibrations in the air or if im hearing things more or if its both.

        @SunInAugust But I also have audio-tactile synesthesia so it totally throws me off

      Try covering your ears. If the sound goes away, it's the electronics. If it doesn't, it's more likely to be mild tinnitus.

      If it stops and starts when you turn whatever it is on or off, it's the electricity

      To me, I would say electricity would sound like buzzing. Like fluorescent light buzzing. At least that’s how I hear it.

      I mean mainly there arent usually just random vibration sounds going on outside of that, electricity also seems to pop and crackle quietly too though. The best way I've had to tell was just asking neurotypical people if they could hear it, the answer is usually no if it's electricity that isnt unusually loud.

        @Brooke2024 so that popping noise?

          @Stasia.ana Yes, I hear a pop when I get shocked and buzzing/crinkling in lights and wires. I'm having difficulty finding descriptors for this situation. I would love to discuss the phenomenon further though haha.
