My medications help but dear lord if I’m not on them I constantly think people are talking to me.

The voices are mostly in my head talking to me but I somtimes hear things in person aswell and somtimes its letting me know what it wants me to do by giving me immages and instincts/urges (idk if that's how the right way to describe it) then it may start talking so yeah its both

For me personally, I get a lot of yells or loud talking in my ears. Most people hear whispers from what I’ve heard and read about, but mine are very sudden, erratic, and loud. Almost as if someone has tried to jump scare you by yelling in your ear. Have you seen any kind of professional to be tested for it? It can be hard to tell if you actually have it, so if you haven’t seen anyone I recommend trying to see a professional if it’s something that you’re able to do.

I hear it like it’s internally mostly and then outer whispers other times. When I am nodding off to sleep I hear shouting of one word maybe two at a time!

It's a little hard for me to answer this question ... but most of the time I feel that the voices are inside the room and that everyone hears them. I do not know if this answers your question, but it's the best I can try to describe the feeling.

I hear almost a faint ring in my left ear prior to a whisper I cannot explain, I know it's not supposed to be there however it is so real I feel I must do anything in my power to escape. They never leave it's just about management.... It sounds like you may be schizotypcial PD or simply have stressed induced audio hallucinations which is fairly common in borderline personality disoder

I usually only get "whispering in my ear" ones when I'm about to go to sleep and it doesn't happen very often. The outside voices that I hear are usually yelling or talking in another room. Most of the time, they're thoughts in my head that aren't in my voice. Especially because I think in pictures 90% of the time so having a random voice in there is definitely off-putting lol

I've experienced both. I've heard other people/things talking in the same room, and I've heard what seems like other people thinking in my own head.
