Hey all, what do you do to help when you start to feel an episode creep up. It’s been a rough week and I don’t know if I can even manage to get out of my bed come morning. Is there anything that you’ve found really eases your symptoms?

Thank you guys so much. I’m at least up and in another room. Which feels like a marathon today. But from here I can call my doctor!!! ❤️❤️ I really appreciate the advice

Also if you have a chair in your room you can try to break getting up into steps and first try to at least move to the chair or even sit on the floor leaning against your bed. You can set multiple alarms to go off so when the first once goes off you sit up in bed, the next one you sit in the chair/floor, and the next one you get up.

I second what eeyorespal said 100%. Another small thing is keeping a glass of water by your bed at night to drink first thing in the morning which forces you to at least sit up. If you really need to get out of bed you can put your alarm clock or phone on the other side of the room so you have to get out of bed to get it.

Plan things you know you will enjoy. Like painting your nails or making a favorite meal. Just something small to look forward too

I have found that if I make myself get out of bed, get dressed, and make your bed. If you can just do these 3 things, you can always know that you have accomplished something everyday. Because you're both dressed and your bed is made, you're less likely to get back into it again.
