How do I get my day going when I can't even bring myself to get out of bed?

I started putting something near my bed that I can do to get my day started BEFORE I even get out of bed. For me that's my meds on my bedside table that I take when I wake up. Do what you can, when you can because it's better than doing nothing

On my worst days I promise myself a delicious cup of coffee when I get up and that can help me with the jolt I need. Sometimes my bf is what really helps

I love to rock out to some feel-good music while I get ready

There’s been multiple days where I had the exact feeling of being unable to get up, funnily enough what usually motivates me to at least take care of myself is needing to get up to use the restroom. It sounds silly but having to pee sort of forces me to get up and go to the bathroom and from there I can convince myself while I’m up to brush my teeth and wash my face and take care of my self care routine.

Hydrate and make the bed every day whether you're laying on it that day or not.

My pastor told me to imagine I’m in a hole and the only way out is to dig myself out. Basically fight with all you got. You can do this

For me, what helps is telling myself "there is a future version of you who is proud that you did this now." It doesn't sound like a lot, but it's really helped me. And also setting really small goals. Like literally just sitting up can be a goal.

Remember who you love, do it for them and try to remind yourself that you can take control.
