If you have ADHD and take meds, what meds do you take? Since I’ve had POTS I have been unable to tolerate my Concerta.

I used to be on Vyvanse until my insurance changed, now I’m on IR adderall 2-3 times a day. I tolerate it well, especially if I am on Nadalol. Any other beta blocker “cancels out” the adhd meds for me though as they are too general. Just a tid bit!

i take vyvanse and it helps some, but i have very medication-resistant adhd so i’m not sure how much help i can be haha. concerta made me feel weird with my dysautonomia as well. if you don’t feel comfortable being on it or you think it’s making you worse, definitely talk to your psychiatrist about a different med!! there’s a lot of options for adhd treatment which is really good!! :)

I take Strattera and its fine with my POTS for the most part i think. but there’s a blood test your dr can do to see what psych meds you’ll respond to best genetically and what to avoid. maybe ask your dr if they do that!

I have ADHD as well as POTS but I don't take any medication for ADHD. I guess it would depend on what kind of meds you can handle. Like whether they're stimulants or depressants or something else. I suppose that would be something to bring up to your doctor and definitely ask for a medication switch.
