My Dr prescribed me gabapentin (300 MG daily) for my fibromyalgia and she doesn't want me to stop taking it, but it does nothing for my pain and when I'm on it, my mental health plummets and I overall feel bad. I stopped taking it, my should I try again and see if it does anything? I have a good Dr and I trust her, but she's never had a patient with fibro before me.

I think, unfortunately, when you try new things it does take time to get used to. The longest i went to try a med was like 2 weeks when my dr tried to push me. Sometimes side effects go away! Thats great! Sometimes they dont and get worse and thats when you talk to ur doc like i did.. my med was making me ridiculously angry and she said itd get better but every day i got more short w people. You know your body best with how it reacts. Thats the most important thing to take from this. Always try it, but keep that bit in mind; its your decision in the end and no one else’s anyways!

i’m not a doctor but that’s totally not what’s supposed to happen, i personally think you should try something else.

That's a hard one. My nero put me on 900 and it helped make life livable again. I swear by it. But I've heard it is bad for a lot of people. I would recommend getting a doctor that knows more though. My try muscle relaxers next. Meloxicam also has changed my life. There are other options for sure.
