Been on it for 27 years. It helps me a lot..I've had no side effects from it.. some people can take it and some can't. Don't know till you try it.

I was on Gabapentin for years. Worked very well. But had to quit it when I developed another issue.

For me it worked miracles. Rx 600mg three times a day. Realized I just need to take one in the afternoon and two before bed. Helped me get out of bed consistently. It really helped me with pain, because most of my pain is caused by muscle tension which for me gabapentin eases it. Helped my mood a lot.

I take it for fibromyalgia and seizures it helps me, really it depends on your body. I see people saying amitriptyline helped them and it didn’t help me. Sometimes it takes a bit of trail and errors before finding a medicine that helps.

Hi Rae, Reba here! 2 months ago I decided to try Gabapentin again bcz the first time I took Gabapentin in 2015, I and horrible side affects. I again gave Gabapentin a try in March. I took 100 mgs three time a day. Didn’t have the same negative outcome as before. Didn’t notice a difference in my day to day pain! My dr increased the mgs to 600 mgs 3x a day! That’s 1800 mgs!! Quite a huge bump!! On taking the first dose I was okay as far as symptoms. At noon I took the second dose of 600 mgs. 25-30 minutes after I took the second prescribed 600 mgs I experienced symptoms of motion sickness not dizzy. Then I couldn’t get my words out! Grateful my daughter the nurse was on the phone with me. She called 911 bcz she believed I was having symptoms that reflected mini strokes. Stay in hospital for three days. Every test that one gets was done. Heart, Claudet arteries etc. nothing came to mind other than I took too much Gabapentin. End result is Gabapentin is poison to my body! Have you read all the negative side affects of Gabapentin? Have you read all of the ingredients in Gabapentin? If, not I urge you and others to do their homework b4 taking! All the best! ❤️🤮🥴

I'm currently on it and I can definitely tell a difference between when a take it and when I don't. The bad thing is if I miss a dose it causes a flare and it really really sucks.

My neuro prescribed it for both migraines and Fibro and it definitely took the edge off of both! I dosed up to my current dose and didn’t really have any of the bad side effects (except maybe drowsiness? So I take it at night, but I’m a horrible sleeper so is it really a bad side effect?)

I am on it!! I got my diagnosis this year and it has immensely helped take the edge off. Definitely doesn't get rid of the good days bad days but man oh man do I sleep better at night now. I explained to my Rheumatologist my kicky legs and spasms and this gabapentin truly has helped calmed those down. I'm on 100 MG 2x a day now if I need it but most days can vibe with just one! I hope this helps!!!

It worked alright for me, it really works better for surface pain, like tingling on the skin. I found lyrica to work better for my fibro pain! They both cause a LOT of weight gain but it helped

I take 300 mg of gabapentin right now. It’s helping a bit but not a ton. It’s definitely better with it than without it. It is sedating so if you get it prescribed, make sure you’re taking it when you can be home.

It made me extremely exhausted almost collapsed & my full body tingled for 3 days straight. That was on the lowest dose. I also tried another medication which also was the lowest dose. Looks like medication is not got me...Medication affects us all differently. I hope you have better luck! 🙏🏻

I was on it for a couple years and it did work for me. Just make sure you start as low in dosage as possible because you will build a tolerance to it and will have to increase. Once I got to a dosage I didn’t feel comfortable with any more, that’s when we switched me to lyrica to see if that helped, and I’m on that now. It’s ok. Still now completely happy.

I took it for a few weeks years ago but I stop because it caused sleep paralysis for me… however I’ve seen a lot of people on here say it helps a little for them. 💕

My mom and I both take it for our Nerve pain. It takes the edge off of Fibro flares.

Same here! It doesn't get rid of it, but it does ease it, and reduces or eliminates my neuropathic itchiness.

My mom has fibro and she takes it. It helps her have more good days than bad days. They tried it with me but it didn't help me. I take amitriptyline and it helps me with my fibro.

Hi Rae! I’m Camille, it works for some peoples migraines. It was one of the first they tried prescribing for my chronic migraines. Unfortunately it made me nauseous.
