I struggle with apathy daily, but I didn't even know the word existed untill now. Finally found what describes me perfectly. Does anyone else struggle with this? I mentioned it to my therapist and she is going to read me some books on emotions next session. I'm not sure if it will change anything but I want to know what happiness actually feels like again so I'll try anything. Anyone have tips for creating or forcing positive emotions while I'm waiting in the meantime?

I'm personally autistic and have major sensory stuff so idk how much this might work for you, but I usually like to do things that give me good sensory feelings (ie: blast specific music into my headphones while I walk in the rain without and umbrella) it's not always a happy feeling but it does sometimes give me a calm relaxed feeling that makes it easier for me to calm down and not lock up emotionally (sometimes I do cry but usually I feel a lot better after, sometimes, you really just need a good cry session to feel better)

I struggle with this several times a month. It's one of the worst feelings, like you want to care; you want to feel something but just don't/ can't. Sorry, I don't have any advice on this. I just wanted to tell you that I can relate.

I'm an artist, and I just draw along. Just keep swimming, just keep drawing. Don't swim in circles. However, it's bound to happen.
