Looking for PCOS-friendly birth control options

I loved my IUD enough I got the replacement this year. I got Mirena, hormonal helps the pcos, which lasts 5 years but my doctor said there's de elopement going on and we may have a 10 year hormonal in the coming years. Perks: no periods since 2017, don't have to remember to take it Downside: I won't lie it hurt bad. I have high pain threshold and tolerance and I had awful cramps for about a week the first time, a couple days upon replacement. There is some bleeding initially due to the instruments used for placement. If you get a good OB/GYN that understands pain management and possible local anesthetic should be offered, it will be a much better experience. I rolled in on aspirin and cannabis and was okay, but you shouldn't be forced to resort to that. Slight risk of uterine perforation in the first few weeks after placement you should be aware of.
