Hi guys I’m new to this whole thing and I wanted to ask how long have you had a chronic illness, and what coping mechanism do you use on your hard days?.

@Mo14 I am new to this too but have found finding a functional doctor is really helpful. They help teach you what foods to eat and not eat. They will most likely put you on an anti-inflammatory diet. You can Google it to see what it is. Also, I have heard that turmeric has anti-inflammatory benefits. Sometimes your local health food store can lead you down the right direction.

Hi I'm new too! Yes, I was diagnosed in 2008 and not only do I take 2 pills a day but 4years ago I started an infusion called BENLISTA once a month. It helped so much! Finding foods or a supplement to help with inflammation is a struggle for me. Help anyone

I have SLE and several other autoimmune conditions. It all started in 1997 in the spring of my junior year of high school. I wouldn't get officially diagnosed until 2004 however. If there is one thing that I have learned is that you really need to listen to when your body says no way on some activity. From my experience, there are some things you can push through and do but others can seriously knock you down if you push. Those are the times I have a "Netflix and chill" day. If people want to see me on those days, they come to me.

I was diagnosed in August of 2021 on accident. They thought i had rheumatoid Arthritis but when getting tested discovered i had SLE and Fibromyalgia. I have no way of coping i work all day standing and using my hands so i take Aleve or Advil.
