Does anyone have suggestions on how to manage joint pain/nerve pain? Im told I have Fibromyalgia, but the medication I've been given and the walking that the doctor reccomended isn't helping. Right now I am taking 200mg gabapentin daily and tylenol as needed. The pain doesn't go away. It may move around but it doesn't go away and it is getting really frustrating.

One thing that has been beneficial to me is exercising in the water. It's lower impact and I still get exercise. I started water aerobics at my local rec center. It's a bit daunting/ embarrassing that I'm the youngest one there (by a long shot), but it's easier on my pain (and I finally understand why people feel better after or enjoy exercising!).

@TheUltimateGinge Also, walking does not help me. I dread having to walk a lot because it doesn't seem to help, in fact, it hurts
thanks, I can't take any NSAIDs due to my Ulcerative colitis, so tylenol is all I have found that I can take as far as otc goes. I was using some menthol icyhot roll on stuff and it was helping but I must have formed a sensitivity to it because now it just burns my skin(like leave it sun burnt) Im also really frustrated with walking because it only seems to make me hurt more and make me more tired. Just feel like Im at the end of my rope... again.š
Ibuprofen has been the only thing that works for my Fibromyalgia unless I have a really bad flare since ibuprofen targets inflammation. Tylenol never does anything for me tbh but that's just me. I've been told moving around more helps so I've been trying to go on walks and get around more. I also take supplements like Turmeric and vitamin D3 and B2, as well as type 2 collagen. Since doing these things, I've noticed less flares unless I forget to pace myself and I'm moving around/on my feet all day. Definitely talk to your doctor and ask about taking supplements to see if they ease some symptoms and ask what diets/activities you can do at home to help with symptoms. My doctor reccomended the anti-inflammatory diet so yours might do the same. Just find out what works best for you and stick to it.
