Has anybody else ever been in foster care? I entered the system when I was 13 and aged out in October, and I feel moving around so often, switching schools, cities, and therapists and experiencing more trauma in the foster care system did a lot of damage and made it very difficult to work on my mental health, possibly even worsening some pre-existing conditions (Borderline, Depression, and PTSD for me)
My social workers have always been very sweet and I don't have any gripes with the system itself in my area, but the foster families I were placed with were all terrible to me in their own ways. Let me know your experiences!
