Okay. So a sort of follow up on my last post. Sort of. Not really. So, I don’t take the seroquel my doctor prescribed in the daytime now. I’m trying to take it at night but I’m struggling to get on a regular routine, and the nights I do take it it is still taking a couple of hours to do anything. If it IS doing anything, and it’s not just my body’s natural rhythm. So here’s where I’m at, and I need advice… I usually fall asleep about 1:30ish in the morning. I wake up around 10ish naturally, and the earliest I can force myself awake is about 9. So, about 7-8 hours, normal. But I don’t sleep WELL… I wake up several times a night for various reasons. Asthma, bad dreams, sometimes I just wake up. Sometimes my kid wakes me up. So I guesstimate I get around 5-6 ACTUAL hours of sleep. The other problem though is… I feel like I can sleep all day. Every day. I really really try to avoid it. I try to not even nap because even with an alarm I find I’ll pass out for hours. What I’m looking for here I guess is… without taking the meds at night, even though I’m sleeping ideally less than I should… is it normal to be THAT tired, even so? Do I wait a few weeks and try to get on a regular routine with seroquel? Or is this something I should see a gp for now? I don’t want to schedule an appointment that ends up being pointless but I’m so tired of being so tired, and I’m beyond tired of the way it’s affecting my every day life and certainly my families life. Any advice?
