Hi there! I was wondering what has helped you deal with Hirsutism. It is one of the more embarrassing symptoms that I face as a person with PCOS. Thanks! 🖤

I have done laser hair removal (very expensive treatments in office and my own at home device), wax, plucking, and the prescription cream. None of it worked well. I have resorted to shaving my face daily - after my waxing lady got so frustrated with the amount of hair she just said shave it! :( shaving was a decent option for years but suddenly it’s not working, I have a 5 o’clock shadow by noon and full regrowth by end of day.

I had some laser done on my face and it’s definitely a better option for me

Epilation is the only answer for facial Hirsutism ! In less than a year I became baby face..

I deal with the same thing! Don’t shave it, it will just make ingrown hairs appear and it doesn’t actually take the whole hair follicle out your best bet is to wax. I wax about 2 a month for my chin cause the hair grows and it’s embarrassing luckily my mask can sometimes cover it. For the ingrowns I use Paula’s choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliant on my chin area. For my face I dermaplane at least once a month if I need it twice. It helps with the really hairy side facial hair and peach fuzz above the lip.

I try to pluck mine but a couple days later, I seem to find a long hair. Mine is not too bad because it isn’t visible unless someone gets super close, but I do have a lot of hair.

Yessss!!!! It's the worst. I know people who have done laser hair removal for it. There is also medicine that can help. It was spironolactone. It's supposed to help. I found out about it on this app actually. I'm planning on asking my doctor about it.

@dhadhu ugh, Ikr?! I usually have been using a little facial hair razor but it’s so annoying because I have to do it every day.

Oh I also wonder the same thing. I have to pluck my more thicker facial hair so often. It's seems to be getting worse for me though.
