I have schizoaffective disorder. Are crying fits normal? I’m barely depressed and am crying at everything. Songs, books, movies, car videos. I also get chocked up easily in conversation. For YEARS before the diagnosis I could hardest cry. Is this the disorder or maybe a medication? Can anyone relate to this?

i agree with, Kermit... maybe talk to a therapist about what you're dealing with... i used to cry at random too, until i was put on setraline... that helped my depression... i don't know about your case... you don't seem to have depression, from our alikes... it could be the medications your using... look up the effects of all your meds, look them up one by one...

Sorry to hear this, sounds overwhelming. I don't get crying fits like that so much. I did feel comfortable crying when I watched a moving movie or listen to a beautiful song. I love being moved to tears by art nowadays but I don't know what is causing it in your case. May be something to talk about with a therapist for possible reasons
