Diagnosis
Based on you symptoms and medical history, your healthcare provider might start to suspect a lesion following a neurological exam. Then, they may refer you to imaging scans, including: - Computed tomography (CT) scan. - Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans. - Positron emission tomography (PET) scans.
Treatment
Treatment of brain lesions varies depending on the underlying cause. Some lesions resolve spontaneously, and treatment is unnecessary. Infections can be treated with antibiotics. Growths or tumors - may be removed if can be reached. Some tumors may be untreatable due to their locations or size.
