Nummular dermatitis, also known as discoid eczema or nummular eczema, refers to coin-shape rash. It may be dry or covered with fluid, and may itch. Causes for its appearance may include burn, injury to the skin, insect bite and abrasion. It is more common in men. It is not contagious.
