Signs & symptoms

Symptoms of nasal cavity neoplasm include difficulty breathing through the nose, nosebleeds, nasal discharge, facial swelling, pain, watery eyes, sore lesion on the roof of the mouth, vision problems, neck lump and difficulty opening the mouth.

Diagnosis

Diagnosis of nasal or paranasal tumors may include medical history and examination using an endoscopic camera that allows looking at the nasal cavities and sinuses. During this test, a biopsy can be taken for lab testing. Imaging such as CT scans or MRIs may also be used for diagnosis.

Treatment

Treatment may vary depending on the exact location of the tumor and may inclde an open surgery or a minimally invasive surgery, followed by chemotherapy or radiation.
