Other more specific symptoms include hearing loss, weakness of facial muscles, facial numbness or pain and trouble swallowing. Spinal cord tumors may also cause bladder or bowel problems.

Diagnosis

Diagnosis is based upon medical history and physical examination. Then, some imaging tests may be done such as CT or MRI scans. Lumbar puncture may also be done in some of the cases.

Treatment

Treatment for malignant neoplasms of the nervous system includes surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
