Urethral injury may be caused due to blunt trauma, such as a car accident or a fall, by penetrating trauma, due stabbing or gunshot and during surgical procedure. Surgical procedures in which the urethra might be injured include hysterectomy, colectomy, cesarean section, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair and more.
