Hypotension, or low blood pressure, refers to blood pressure under 90/60 mm/Hg. It may not cause any symptoms, but symptoms may include dizziness, fainting, confusion, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, distorted vision, fast or shallow breathing, agitation and changes in behavior. Hypotension is sometimes physiological in young physically active people. Hypotension may be caused due to central nervous system diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease, dehydration, arrhythmias, heart attack, anaphylaxis, medications, alcohol, and extreme temperatures.
