What is it?

The coccyx is the last bone in the spine, also called the tailbone. Tailbone fractures are uncommon, and are usually caused by trauma or a direct injury. Rarely, a difficult childbirth may cause coccyx fracture. It is more common in women since the pelvis is broader and the coccyx is more exposed.
