What is it?

Snapping hip is a condition in which you feel a snapping sensation or hear a popping sound in your hip when you walk, get up from a chair, or swing your leg around. The reason for the snapping sensation if the result of a muscle or tendon moves over a bony lump in your hip. Even though this sensation is harmless and not painfull, it can be annoying. In some rare cases, snapping hip can turn to bursitis - a painful swelling of the hip joint.

Diagnosis
