-Adenomas
-Hemangiomas
-Focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH)
Only adenomas may turn into cancer. There is no known cause for these tumors, but adenomas have an association to oral contraceptive use.

There are usually no symptoms for benign liver tumors, until it is very big and may push other organs. Then, symptoms may include abdominal pain, fullness after eating, weight loss, and rarely- bleeding in the liver.
Diagnosis is based upon findings from medical history and physical examination. Further evaluation may include imaging tests and a biopsy.
There is no need to treat benign tumors that do not cause symptoms, and usually these tumors are being monitored and followed. Tumors that cause symptoms are surgically removed.
