Anisocoria

Anisocoria is a condition characterized by an unequal size of the eyes' pupils. It can be caused by several reasons, such as eye trauma, concussion, bleeding in the skull, inflammation of the optic nerve, brain tumor, seizure, and meningitis. In some cases, people can be born with anisocoria or develop it during their life without no reason. Anisocoria may be experienced on an ongoing basis or only temporarily. Other signs and symptoms can occur with anisocoria, depending on the reason that caused this condition, For example: blurred, double or loss of vision, headache, fever, nausea, stiff neck. The diagnosis is based upon findings from medical history and physical examination. Further evaluation would occur to find the underlying cause of this condition. The treatment depends on the underlying cause of this condition.
